#29 (tie) Fortune (October 1, 2001) This special edition of Fortune, entitled Up from the Ashes, shows a man covered in ashes after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Published less than a month after the attacks, the issue discussed the economic ramifications of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York City and the world.

It's of a man after a terrorist attack. He stands in ashes, from an attack in New York[NY]. This is showing the strtength of the man who survived or rather something interesting to just catch the readers eye. Typically it's communicating to the people or rather...[higher-up's] that something must be done about the attacks due to the fact that they're doing so much damage to our society. At least this is what I get from this picture and statement.

Cover History

The early magazine covers were those of the early 1700's-1800's. They were mostly the begining types that had more writing then actual pictures on them. The poster cover refers to those created first late 18th century and later mid 1900's. This was when people begin to notice that one picture should dominate the cover, making it the center of attention as to catch the eye. This was when pictures very used more frequently then words on the cover. The Marry to type idea was the fact of covers using headlines to draw eyes to them and pull viewers in while yet including also very artistic pictures for the viewing eye to see. This was the rage of the 20th's century, mostly in the late 1900's. The "In The Forest of Words" method was that refering to the use of the covering having a cover picture that covered the entire cover while being swallowed up by words, used or learned of in the 21st century.

Favorite photo of 2009.~

This is very interesting. He was standing in a fire, engulfing all his surroundings. What did he feel? Was he afraid, was he thinking he'd be okay? So many questions come to my mind, I just can't imagine being him. What would I do..?

Favorite story of 2009.~

My favorite story, well most sadening story would be that of Michael's death! He was a great singer, though maybe not the best historic background, I loved his songs, as a fan I was pretty devistated. But learning how he died.. I can't help but have some slike regret in liking of him..

Favorite movie of 2009.~ Avatar

This is my favorite movie of the year! AVATAR! I loved this action thriller. The story behind it was great! I loved the story as well how the movie had just the right amount of action.~

Favorite song of 2009~

This picture is of Linkin Park. My favorite American band who sang my favorite song called "The Great Divide". I heard this song on the second Transformer movie and had to hear it. I loved the song.~

What I plan for my portriat.

I plan to shoot, myself. Or.. My own family, of course. Either at my own home, with of course a photo of them all in a big group. I plan to shoot with good angling, for a shot close and fear. Shots of all angles with goo d lighting. I plan to not take photo's in too bright of light or too dark. Iplan to make sure there's good background of my subjects, maybe like.. Add leading lines of something to draw someone's attention? I'll think of techniques that will serve well.

7. Introduce a Prop

A good photo must be one that shows character. A good photo must be original and from the heart. You must be close, and capture feeling either in a background or of the person your shooting. You need to get it close, and it must seem real. A weird funny distorted picture will be hated.

I wany to try for croping, background, many styles in my next shot. I want it to be good. When formating I want to try a self portriat, of something like the photo on the left. That's awesome.

Favorite pics and why.~

For the first photo.. I like it due to the foreground and background, the nice park with the skiier there. I believe the photographer used background and the rule of thirds in this pick.

For the second pic. I like it since much like that guy, looking like that.. I'd feel large and important as well. The photgrapher used background and leading lines to catch the eyes.

For the final pic. I liked the whole religious candle thing, I'd love to do something like that. The photographer used leading lines here.

1. Favorite memory... I guess due to us seeing Avatar and my family and me having for once a family hangout. I missed things like that and finally got them.

2.I got to go see Avatar, literally.. THE ONLY FUN THING! But it was a awesome movie. Other then that stayed home and did friend stuff? Nothing new.

3.The memory... Guess when my longest relationship ended. A bit personal, but you gotta' move on eventually, right? Either way, I won't forget that, ever...

The subjects name is Henry. He's doing work from the book, a little bit of history. He's doing this to get a good grade, this was done on January 14th, 2009.

A. The filing cabnet is not in focus while everything else is.
B. The filing cabnet was in the light.
2. There ish good contrast. Except the filing cabnet. The light ruined it.

It works by messing with our views how we view things, see things, working on our reality. It challenges our morlas since that's not how she really looks?

Honestly I don't think there is a difference in fashion photography and photojournalism.

Number 4.~

I do believe any form of drastic change is bad. However it's technically good if no one can tell you changed it. It doesn't matter if you can get away with it? But I think maybe.. Facial changes for like model's, or something to that affect are okay.
